Forget About Health?

By Samantha Taylor

Samantha Taylor Although that question seems absurd when you read it, isn't that what many people tend to do? We get so busy trying to balance life between our career and family, an unhealthy pattern can develop. This negative pattern consists of putting our health and fitness on the "back burner" of life. Often this habit puts our health at the bottom of priorities for the day. Health is the one thing you do not want to lose in life. If you lose your health, you will want it back because you will realize you have let a precious commodity slip through your hands. You have the ability to do something about it. You are a creative, powerful person who probably takes control in so many other areas of your life. Why not your health? I challenge you to take your health to the next level wherever you are starting from. It is a big mistake to allow the busyness of life to become so overwhelming that you don't eat well and exercise. If you are wealthy but don't have your health to enjoy it, what good will that do? Most people on their death bed say, "I wish I would have taken better care of my health and I wish I would have spent more time with my family."

A priority is something that has a level of importance placed upon it. When something is a priority, it is a main concern to us. Why do so many people sacrifice their health and not make it a priority? Here are a few main reasons:
  1. They were not taught by their family how to take care of themselves.
  2. They never learned as an adult how to be healthy.
  3. They do not have enough self respect to truly care about their health.
  4. They do not know how to manage time well with scheduling health and fitness into their life.
  5. They do not realize the level of importance that being healthy really has.
How many of these categories do you fall into? If you are reading this article, chances are you are a successful business person. Do you realize how much it affects your business when you are not healthy? When you eat healthy, exercise and take good absorbable vitamins you will feel phenomenal. You will have more energy, stamina, mental clarity, strength and you will sleep better. How do you think these 5 things would affect your next business trip or your next long business day? Most people don't realize how bad they feel until they start feeling better. Don't wait until a doctor tells you that have a disease before you start doing something about your health. Start NOW! Learn to be proactive with your health instead of reactive. Ask anyone who is aging gracefully and takes care of their body, they will tell you that choosing health is one of the best decisions they have ever made in their life. Being busy is NO excuse for not taking care of your health. If you don't like where you are with your health, walk into the bathroom and look into the mirror.that's who is responsible for it! Looking at ourselves is one of the hardest things in life to do. When we realize it is our responsibility and nobody else's, things will change. Most of us have a choice with our health, just like we have a choice with our wealth. If you never work on your business or occasionally make contacts, would you have the level of success you have or want? Not likely, unless your wealth was given to you. If you exercise or eat healthy every once in a while, will you have the level of health you want? Definitely not. You have already set yourself apart from the crowd by being an inspired business professional. Now it's time to set yourself apart from the rest of this sick, tired, rapidly aging country and be someone of excellence with your health. Choose to be a person who ages slowly, has abundant energy, tone muscles, sleeps great, feels great and has the stamina you need to perform. Choose health, choose life, choose now! You will thank yourself now and later.
